A Ford is not a Pontiac (and vice versa)

Oh Boy, did I get into trouble for misidentifying a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 as a 1964 Pontiac GTO!

The mistake was in last Saturday's gift guide for gearheads and the offending article was a Keepsake Classic Car Ornament from Hallmark.

We had a picture of the Ford, but Hallmark puts out a different car model tree ornament each year and this year the car was indeed the Pontiac.

But we didn't have a picture of the Pontiac and due to an editing error for which I take total responsibility the Ford was tagged with the Pontiac label.

A bunch of you called, emailed and snail-mailed me about the error for which I apologize.

And I would just like to thank you for your consideration as almost all of your messages were polite and amused.

Or as a reader from Bristol delightfully put it: "Being neither a Ford or GM fan, this is not a big deal(!)"

Cheers!
